About Dunamis

Our mission and philosophy at Dunamis Wellness is to provide holistic services that empower individuals, families, and couples to live life to the fullest in overall health and wellness. We focus on the whole person, with emphasis on improved mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social well-being. Dunamis strives to ensure availability and accessibility of high quality, compassionate, ethical, and supportive services/programs for clients in Shasta and the surrounding counties.

Dunamis is composed of licensed clinicians, master’s level therapists, massage therapists, personal trainers, and estheticians. We work to empower our clients to explore the challenges they are facing, find creative solutions, and discover who they are to establish a new way of living. Our holistic approach to treatment integrates the mind, body, and spirit of each individual. And at Dunamis, we foster a caring and peaceful atmosphere where clients are able to come as they are, free from fear of judgment.

As we work with clients towards a healthier and more holistic way of life, we promote, educate, and provide services that correlate to the nine dimensions of wellness:

Physical Wellness
The physically well person gets an adequate amount of sleep, eats a balanced and nutritious diet, engages in exercise for 150 minutes per week, attends regular medical check-ups, and practices safe sex.
Emotional Wellness
The emotionally well person can identify, express, and manage the entire range of feelings and would consider seeking assistance to address areas of concern.
Intellectual Wellness
The intellectually well person values lifelong learning and seeks to foster critical thinking, develop moral reasoning, expand world views, and engage in education for the pursuit of knowledge.
Occupational Wellness
The professionally well person engages in work to gain personal satisfaction and enrichment, consistent with values, goals, and lifestyle.
Financial Wellness
The financially well person is fully aware of financial state and budgets, saves, and manages finances in order to achieve realistic goals.
Environmental Wellness
The environmentally well person recognizes the responsibility to preserve, protect, and improve the environment and appreciates the interconnectedness of nature and the individual.
Social Wellness
The socially well person has a network of support based on interdependence, mutual trust, and respect, and has developed a sensitivity and awareness towards the feeling of others.
Creative Wellness
The creatively well person values and actively participates in a diverse range of arts and cultural experiences as a means to understand and appreciate the surrounding world.
Spiritual wellness
The spiritually well person seeks harmony and balance by openly exploring the depth of human purpose, meaning, and connection through dialogue and self-reflection.
