Jantina Thompson earned a BA in psychology with a minor in Therapeutic Recreation from CSU Fresno and a Masters in Social Work with specializations in Child Welfare and Schools from CSU San Jose. She is licensed to provide Clinical Social Work services in the state of California. She worked for Social Services for 25 years and has extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families that are facing addiction issues, domestic violence, and dual diagnosis. She has also worked closely with clients facing chronic medical conditions, end of life issues and pain management challenges. She is eclectic in her approach to therapy and fully appreciates looking at the person in all aspects of their environment. She has extensive experience/training in Strength Based approaches including Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy. Jantina has raised her 3 children here in Shasta County and has 6 grandchildren that she enjoys spending time with. Jantina works out of the Market Street location.
