Jill holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University, and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Jill incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her work with clients and focuses on building a strong working relationship between herself and clients. She developed the idea of a wellness center by combining 25 years of business knowledge in the health and fitness industry with her counseling degree.
Dunamis Center was born out of the desire to merge the practice of mental health under a wellness umbrella. Dunamis is unique, and presents a wide variety of services for clients all under one roof. Our goal is to provide the highest possible level of care for our clients. She is also trained for trauma work, and specializes in Neurofeedback. Neurofeedback (NFB) heals the brain; Psychotherapy heals the mind. Together, Neurofeedback and Psychotherapy can create lasting change and recovery. Neurofeedback improves brain function so you can better engage in the psychotherapy process and make more conscious, healthy decisions for yourself. Neurofeedback also stabilizes the brain to reduce anxiety and depression allowing for a better, and more lasting recovery from trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, and/or other addictions. Susan Rhyne received her Physician Assistant Clinical Certification from Stanford University in 1990, and her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University in 2014. She has worked at Shasta Community Health Center previously as a PA. Susan has a certificate in Trauma Focused Therapy for Children, and also has completed Brainspotting for Kids, as well as Phases 1 and 2 of Brainspotting.
Her main accomplishment in life is raising two amazing human beings, while in her work life, her main accomplishment is making progress with traumatized children and individuals, to the point where they find their own healing. Outside of work, Susan enjoys reading, gardening and napping. She has been with Dunamis Wellness since the doors opened in January 2017, and works as the Clinical Director, and Clinical Supervisor at the Victor location.[/read]
Jason Hodgson received his Masters of Arts in Counseling at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, KS. Jason has worked as a therapist, and the interim clinical director of a therapeutic boarding school for adolescents in Kansas City, Missouri. He is currently an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor in California. Jason has worked with resistant individuals, young people with attachment issues, and has received specialized training in these areas.
However, he believes his biggest endeavor and accomplishment is learning to be a better husband and father. He also enjoys being outside, hiking, cooking, reading, and spending time with his wife and three children. Jason started at Dunamis Wellness in February 2017 where he has served as an Associate Counselor and the Clinical Project Manager, and works out of the Victor office.

Marguerite (Meg) Ferrell is a graduate from Touro University Worldwide with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, she has a Master’s degree in Counseling Ministry and a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies from California Baptist University in Riverside, California. Meg has over twenty years of volunteer counseling experience working in the church, prison, in-hospital settings, and a year of clinical counseling experience, helping clients struggling with addictions, relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, shame/guilt, and other problems. Meg was a Social Worker with Children’s Social Services for over eight years in Riverside County, giving her extensive experience working with those that have experienced childhood trauma, neglect, abuse, addiction, domestic violence, and mental health concerns. Meg has additional training for couples and trauma work. She is a facilitator for Prepare and Enrich, a couple premarital and marriage counseling program, and trained in EMDR. therapy. As a therapist, Meg is concerned about your whole person: your mind, body, and spirit. She desires to help you to resolve your concerns in a safe environment with empathy and compassion. Her goal is to offer you hope for today and an even brighter hope for the future, as you learn to overcome negative beliefs and harmful actions, one step at a time. Meg is currently helping with group counseling in the school system with SELPA, and seeing clients at the Market Street location.
René is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a Master of Science degree in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy. Her warmth and compassion is evident from the first encounter. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families who need assistance with challenging stressors that can be overwhelming.
Rene’ has successfully helped clients work through challenges related to aging, substance abuse, relationship issues, and communication to name a few. Through individualized support, René is passionately committed to helping each client discover their internal strengths and the resources available to enable them to face each personal challenge. She provides skillful and compassionate support at each session and believes that the therapeutic setting is a safe way to facilitate healthy relationships and obtain personal growth. Rene’ offers convenient evening and Saturday appointments are available to avoid disrupting the work week.
[/read]Deidre Moseley Ramos holds an M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University and an M.S. in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Northridge. Deidre is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and a QAS Professional in applied behavior analysis. Deidre has ten years of experience in working with clients on the autism spectrum.
Her specialty is applying applied behavioral analysis services within the home and school environment and developing interventions to address deficits in communication skills, social skills, self-help skills, and play skills. She has also worked in the jr. high setting working with young teens dealing with depression, OCD, self-harm, anxiety, etc. She loves watching 90’s sitcoms (Friends, Buffy), making cookies, watching sports, and going camping with her husband and family. Andrea Murray graduated from Lesley University with an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specialized in Dance/Movement Therapy. Andrea enjoys dance as a performing artist, healing through movement and learning about the Enneagram. She became a therapist because of her belief in the significance of body-mind connection and wants to support individuals in accessing the body’s wisdom to return to wholeness and freedom.
Having experience with youth and their families as an in-home clinician/continuum case worker and dance movement therapist, that has also worked in a day rehabilitation program for individuals and groups with multiple disabilities, Andrea is excited about bringing her expertise to our clients. She works at the Market location as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor.[/read]
Nick Sosebee holds a master’s in Social Work from Chico State University and minored in Health and Wellness during his Bachelor Degree. Nick’s interests in the outdoors throughout his life has motivated him to study nature-based therapy and equine-assisted psychotherapy. This has helped Nick use nature and adventure based approaches in his treatment with at-risk teens in the past while he current trains in using horses as a therapeutic tool with clients. Nick is an ASW clinician beginning August 2020 at Excel Academy.
Kathi Rauch holds a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, in addition to School Counseling from California State University, Sacramento. She strives to create a warm and welcoming environment for the clients she serves, and to promote a safe space for healing. Kathi has dedicated most of her twenty-year career to working with youth and their families through school-based therapy programs.
She utilizes a collaborative, strengths-based, and person-centered approach in assisting, supporting, and encouraging her clients to be the creator of their own lives. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, educational issues, disruptive behaviors, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and trauma. Kathi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Credentialed School Counselor (PPSC). Kathi joined Dunamis Wellness as a Clinical Supervisor for the Shasta SELPA Program in July of 2020.
Dani Morley is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist and holds a PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential from Sacramento State University. She has always had a passion for working with the youth in her communities and loves being a part of the educational system. Dani has lived and worked throughout California but has found that servicing families from the community she grew up in has been so rewarding. Dani will be servicing youth in the SELPA Program for the 2020-21 Academic year. She is also based out of the Market St. location.
Teri Manley is a graduate of Simpson University with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Teri is passionate about building positive relationships with resistant youth to promote change. Teri is married to her best friend and has two children. Teri enjoys crossfit and nature. Teri will be working with the SELPA program and can be contacted at the Market St. location.
Jantina Thompson earned a BA in psychology with a minor in Therapeutic
Recreation from CSU Fresno and a Masters in Social Work with specializations
in Child Welfare and Schools from CSU San Jose. She is licensed to provide
Clinical Social Work services in the state of California. She worked for
Social Services for 25 years and has extensive experience working with
individuals, couples and families that are facing addiction issues, domestic
violence, and dual diagnosis.
She has also worked closely with clients facing chronic medical conditions, end of life issues and pain management
challenges. She is eclectic in her approach to therapy and fully
appreciates looking at the person in all aspects of their environment. She
has extensive experience/training in Strength Based approaches including
Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy. Jantina has raised her
3 children here in Shasta County and has 6 grandchildren that she enjoys
spending time with. Jantina works out of the Market Street location. [/read]

Meghan Edwardson is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at National University, and holds a BA in Psychology from Simpson University. Meghan has an interest in trauma informed care and how one’s brain functions after trauma, so you may also find her working as a Neurofeedback Technician for Dunamis. Meghan has been married to her husband for 18 years and has 2 amazing kids, one of whom she adopted. She enjoys coaching a Middle School volleyball team and vacationing by the beach.
She is being supervised in her practicum by Susan Rhyne, LMFT.
Lyn Rosenthal received her Masters in Counseling from National University in Sacramento, Ca and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Sacramento State University. Lyn has a heart for empowering clients through cognitive therapy techiques and encouraging reflection. Her strengths include art and play therapy, and she has experience working with children, teens, adults and families overcoming trauma and negative life circumstances. Lyn loves her family, art and horses. Lyn joined the Victor office in July 2020.
Shaquille Jones is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) who obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Simpson University and his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. Shaq’s experience comes largely from working as a mentor and guidance counselor at children’s summer camps, as a Residential Counselor and House Supervisor for Victor Treatment Center, a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist for Remi Vista, and (530) 378-9117
a Behavior Risk Specialist with the Parent Infant Program. Shaq works with children, adolescents, and adults, and but his passion is working with at risk teens, anxiety disorders, and couples issues. Shaq is trained in EMDR and also specializes in trauma. Shaq has mastered the art of relationship building and loves providing the tools and supporting his clients as they achieve their own success stories. Shaq’s charismatic energy, unique professional experience, and ability to connect with his clients sets him apart.
Rebecca Sorensen is a Certified Integrative Nutritional Health Counselor specializing in nutrition for mental health. Rebecca received her certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Drawing on her knowledge of the mind-body connection, she works with clients to help them set goals and make manageable lifestyle changes. This results in lasting improvement in overall energy, hormonal balance, mood and health. Rebecca also has over 10 years of experience facilitating inner healing using several methods to relieve trauma and emotional pain. With a passion for holistic health, she incorporates these tools along with 12 areas of wellness in her coaching sessions for a unique approach that helps guide individuals into a thriving lifestyle for body, mind, and spirit. When she isn’t researching or hunting for a delicious healthy recipe, you will probably find Rebecca singing, writing a song or playing the piano. Beauty and Joy, her 2 cats, also keep her company.
Carli Fabbri graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She is currently studying at University of San Francisco, working towards a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with concentrations in school counseling and professional clinical counseling. Her prior experience resides in supporting youth within the education system. In her free time, Carli enjoys being outdoors, remaining active, and spending time with her family. Carli is passionate about mental health, committed to helping clients reach their goals, and looks forward to serving the community around her! Carli will be working out of the Victor location.
Rachael comes to us from the Midwest. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Sports medicine. After graduation, she and her husband lived overseas for many years. Rachael has been married 21 years and has 3 delightful children. She enjoys learning about different cultures and how people’s brains integrate and process information.
Dr. Ikramullah is a good listener with a kind, soft, and supportive nature. She also cares deeply about the quality of care. Along with her interest in mental health care, she has had a lifetime interest in women’s health issues leading to her completing a residency in OBGYN.
