My name is Amanda Creott and I have has been a clinician with Dunamis Wellness at the Chico, CA location since November 2021.  I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Social work, and I am currently registered as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.  I have seven years of experience in the helping profession, and my most recent employment position was working with severe mental illness at Butte County Department of Behavioral Health.  I have also worked with Catalyst Domestic violence services as a volunteer Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Counselor and received a 40-hour training in domestic violence.

The main reason I chose to become a therapist is that I love helping people grow.  It is an honor to hear a person’s story and support them as they learn to overcome their obstacles and make the most of their life!  I consider receiving training in EMDR therapy to be one of my biggest accomplishments as it offers another level of healing when combined with traditional talk therapy.  I have helped those who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, and a variety of other challenges through EMDR therapy. When I am not in the office, my hobbies include drawing, listening to music, and spending time in nature. I have a great love for animals and have three fur children of my own, two dogs and a cat!
