Jill Shepherd Piercy Clark MA

Jill holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University, and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  Jill incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her work with clients and focuses on building a strong working relationship between herself and clients.  She developed the idea of a wellness center by combining 25 years of business knowledge in the health and fitness industry with her counseling degree.

Susan Rhyne received her Physician Assistant Clinical Certification from Stanford University in 1990, and her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University in 2014.  She has worked at Shasta Community Health Center previously as a PA. Susan has a certificate in Trauma Focused Therapy for Children, and also has completed Brainspotting for Kids, as well as Phases 1 and 2 of Brainspotting.  Her main accomplishment in life is raising two amazing human beings, while in her work life, her main accomplishment is making progress with traumatized children and individuals, to the point where they find their own healing. Outside of work, Susan enjoys reading, gardening and napping. She has been with Dunamis Wellness since the doors opened in January 2017, and works as the Clinical Director, and Clinical Supervisor at the Victor location.

Jason Hodgson received his Masters of Arts in Counseling at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, KS.  Jason has worked as a therapist, and the interim clinical director of a therapeutic boarding school for adolescents in Kansas City, Missouri. He is currently an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor in California.  Jason has worked with resistant individuals, young people with attachment issues, and has received specialized training in these areas.  However, he believes his biggest endeavor and accomplishment is learning to be a better husband and father.  He also enjoys being outside, hiking, cooking, reading, and spending time with his wife and three children.  Jason started at Dunamis Wellness in February 2017 where he has served as an Associate Counselor and the Clinical Project Manager, and works out of the Victor office.

Doug is a husband, father and grandfather. His passion is to see his clients become free of painful emotions and hurtful habits that cripple or stunt their well being, and then achieve their goals and become their best self. His training as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker supports an inclusive view of the many factors that affect us and our own personal wellness. Doug uses a variety of treatment methods, depending on each client’s unique personality and circumstances. And his strengths are with adults and teens struggling with painful events and emotions, troubled relationships and problematic behaviors, such as alcohol and sexual addictions.

Tamara Cleveland
MDiv, Dunamis Life COO
Tamara Cleveland holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University and an MDiv. from A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary. She has over 10 years of experience supervising, managing and administering fitness, health and wellness programs.  Some achievements in her work include being the Associate Fitness Director and Director of Women’s Health and Fitness for the Berkeley-Albany YMCA. She also has been the Director of Student Inclusion for Simpson University and an advocate of collaborative care, abundant life teaching and the development of healthy cities. When Tamara is away from work, she spends time riding her bike, reading new books and entertaining friends and family.  She also works at the Victor location as the COO of Dunamis Life.

In 2017, Bert graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University, earning a master’s degree in Social Work. In 2012, he graduated from University of Phoenix, earning a bachelor’s degree in Human Services. He graduated from Butte Community College in 2005, receiving a certificate of completion in Addiction Studies. Bert’s most important accomplishment is assisting individuals and families cope with their interpersonal and social problems; it is the people to whom he assists in reaching their goals.  Bert has one daughter from a previous marriage and three step children, and he is a grandfather of six grandchildren.  He also works at the Victor Location.

Christy Lane

Christy loves to help people express their passion, and see their dreams come to life. She has a tremendous desire to help people know their uniqueness and celebrate each step they take towards their God-given destiny. She has ministered to hundreds of hurting people who have experienced emotional, physical, and spiritual breakthrough. Christy has a desire helped people to know their true identity and fulfill their destiny.

Christy will help you tune into your heart’s desires and longings, as well as help you discover and eliminate obstacles to freedom and growth.

Her coaching and pastoral counseling style is highly prophetic, along with offering practical goals and strategies to help you experience freedom through a closer connection with God.

She enjoys ocean beaches, long walks with her dog on a sunny day, and exploring new places.

Andrea Murray

Andrea Murray graduated from Lesley University with an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specialized in Dance/Movement Therapy. Andrea enjoys dance as a performing artist, healing through movement and learning about the Enneagram.   She became a therapist because of her belief in the significance of body-mind connection and wants to support individuals in accessing the body’s wisdom to return to wholeness and freedom.  Having experience with youth and their families as an in-home clinician/continuum case worker and dance movement therapist, that has also worked in a day rehabilitation program for individuals and groups with multiple disabilities, Andrea is excited about bringing her expertise to our clients.  She works at the Victor location as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor.

Karissa Catlin

Karissa Catlin graduated Cum Laude from Montreat College in North Carolina, with a degree in Music Therapy.  She is finishing her M.A. in Clinical Counseling, MFT, from Concordia University Irvine, through Dr. Townsend’s Institute for Leadership and Counseling.  Karissa has been the Spa Manager and Director of Wellness for a five-star Boutique Medical Spa in Los Angeles, for 3 years.  She also spent time working in a CRC Health Group Rehabilitation Center for women who are battling Eating Disorders and other co-occurring addictions.  Karissa has researched and developed a strong interest in the neurosciences and how to better utilize technology, brain imaging and music/sound healing modalities to completely restore and re-balance the brain and body.  In her free time, she loves to adventure, paddle-board and dance. Karissa currently serves as the Spa Esthetician for the Market St. location, as well as an Intern Counselor, MFT, for the clients at the Victor location.

Tina Milan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), holds a Masters of Social Work with a Focus on Families, Children and Youth/Mental Health from California State University, Chico and a Psychology Degree from Simpson University.  Tina has a genuine care and compassion for people.  She is known for providing individuals and families with education and health and takes a holistic and strength-based approach to foster change. She utilizes therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused, motivational, and trauma focused techniques, along with Triple P Positive Parenting strategies.   She is trained in Brainspotting, a new treatment approach to assist individuals to heal from negative or traumatic experiences within and promote healing for individuals suffering from physical pain. Dylan Lenkner graduated from Simpson University with a bachelor of science degree in psychology. He is currently studying at National University for his masters of arts in counseling psychology. Dylan has dedicated himself to helping others navigate those difficult paths we often find ourselves traveling on, while in pursuit of living our best possible lives. He firmly believes that each day is an opportunity for healing and wellness; so why not start today? Dylan is currently practicing as a trainee marriage and family therapist at our Victor location.

Jamie Palmer
Jamie Palmer has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, with a focus in Accounting and a minor in Communication from Oregon State University.  She is married to her husband of almost 15 years and has three children ages 10, 8 & 5.  When she is not in the office, you can likely find her running around with her kids either at the lake or park or driving them to sports.  Her family just moved to Redding from Oahu one year ago.  Jamie is a bookkeeper at our Victor location.

Korey Barboza is a trainee with Simpson University who will graduate in the fall of 2020 with her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology.  Originally from Eureka, CA, Korey has been in the Shasta County area for the last 9 years. She enjoys seeing any and all populations and has a heart for working with children via play therapy, as well as empowering clients who have experienced trauma.  Korey is eager to develop her professional skills as a clinician and to be a part of the client’s journey.  She also loves to view people from a holistic point of view and implements this in her practice.

Julia Warner
Massage Therapist
Julia Warner has had the honor and privilege of ministering to women through Therapeutic Massage and prayer for the last 16 years. She specializes in Myofascial Release (John Barnes), Soft Tissue Release and Swedish massage. She also uses a combination of all of these modalities incorporating essentials oils and prayer. Julia works at the Market St. location.
Mark Newman
Massage Therapist
Mark Newman went to Massage School in Warren, MI, and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 10 years. He has a unique skill in Deep Tissue, Sports and Swedish massages, while also helping his clients to be able to relax and let go of any stress or anxiety during the massage. In his free time, he has started to love running and doing triathlons, and loves working with athletes in particular. Mark has been working at Dunamis Wellness since November 2017 and works at the Market St. location.

Jennifer Bettes

Since joining the team as our Neurofeedback Supervisor in 2018, Jennifer has consistently demonstrated a high quality of service to our clients and an unwavering desire to learn all things brain related.   She has been married for 22 years and has 3 wonderful children.  She is passionate about removing the stigma surrounding mental illness and has a deep desire to see people grow and live healthy lives.

Kaitlyn Maddox

Kaitlyn Maddox is currently finishing her BA in Psychology from Simpson University in Redding, CA, and will graduate in April 2020.  She has worked in various customer service positions and office environments, that have prepared her to be able to provide superb client care at Dunamis Wellness. Some of Kaitlyn’s main accomplishments are demonstrating excellence and compassion, through her love for people and life.  Others see this displayed through her dedication to work, school, and life with family and friends.  In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, running, camping, reading and writing, learning, and enjoys anything related to health. Kaitlyn started working at Dunamis Wellness in January 2019 and works at the Victor office.
Deborah Kass
Deborah Kass has had a career in nursing spanning nearly two decades. Over 13 years as a Nurse Practitioner, Deborah has gained experience in a wide array of medical specialties including acute care, cardiovascular, oncology, and psychiatry. Nurse Practitioner positions have included the Branson Heart Center in Branson MO, the Gonda Vascular Center at UCLA, Cardio Vascular Consultants in Glendale CA,
and the LIFE Program (for cancer patients of all ages) of the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, among others. Over the last four years, she has worked as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a large geriatric behavioral provider in the US. During that time, Deborah has exclusively provided psychiatric services to residents of skilled nursing facilities.
“When I was growing up, I was particularly close to my Grandfather who, unfortunately, later on, suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. He was misdiagnosed for many years, making it often difficult for his loved ones to show consistent compassion. Later, understanding the process helped me to provide him with the deserved care he needed which ultimately lead me to a specialty in Geriatric Psychiatry. I am so thrilled to have the ability to work with elderly patients in rural areas that don’t necessarily have direct access to psychiatric care. “
Sultana Ikramullah, MD
Dr. Ikramullah has been working with geriatric patients for over 20 years and has been providing both in-patient and out-patient psychiatric services for over 27 years. Among her experiences, she has served as Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Citrus Valley Medical Center. Along with her private practice, she also serves as Service Director for the Needs Assessment Department of Charter Behavioral Health Systems. She is now very excited to expand services with the opportunity to provide telehealth care to clients who are unable to travel and may not otherwise have access to care, noting that the most important advantage of telehealth is increased access to quality care. Dr. Ikramullah is a good listener with a kind, soft, and supportive nature. She also cares deeply
