Jill holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University and is a  Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Intern. She works with Doug Porter a respected member of the therapeutic community in Redding, California. Jill incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her work with clients and focuses on building a strong working relationship between herself and clients. She creates an environment filled with safety, respect and trust which enables a client to explore deeper issues and learn new ways of coping with a focus on client-centered goals. She believes that each of us possess strengths with which can be used to connect our inner power to heal from the grief, trauma, depression and stresses one might face. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which assists clients in changing core beliefs by identifying thought processes which are keeping them stuck in dysfunctional patterns of behavior.   Jill’s focus is to help people discover why they might be relating and behaving the way they are and give them tools to create change, transforming their inner world and relationships.

She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
