Group Description: Bringing parents and caregivers together in a group setting creates a support system and can help parents connect with other parent’s facing similar challenges. Autism Parent Support Group is a place where parents can share emotional concerns in the struggles of parenting a child with autism and or a developmental disability. Parent groups can share information about the disabilities of their children, local policies, school services, therapy, local funding sources, medical facilities, transportation, emotional support and much more.


Autism/Disability Sibling Support Group

Group Description: A support group that aims to create a fun experience for the children in attendance, while also giving them an outlet for exploring their thoughts and feelings about having a sibling with special needs.


Autism/Disability Independent Living Skills Group

Fee: $25/individual
Group Description: Weekly classes focusing on independent skills training for mid to high functioning teens and or adults on the autism spectrum and or with other developmental disabilities at our treatment facilities supervised by a qualified autism professional. A Rotating class schedule that focuses on a variety of living skills. Such classes include cooking, using measuring cups, making phone calls, creating a resume, and daily community skills training. 


Social Mingle Club for Adults with Disabilities

Fee: $25/teen
Group Description: Weekly gatherings for high functioning teens on the autism spectrum and or other developmental disabilities supervised by a qualified autism professional.  A safe place where teens can meet new friends and participate in activities with peers. Such activities will include dance nights, game nights, social nights, etc.
This group will also co-exist as a social skills group. The learning of social skills will offer an opportunity for teens on the autism spectrum to practice their social skills with each other and/or typical peers. Teens on the autism spectrum need help in learning how to act in different types of social situations. They often have the desire to interact with other peers but may not know how to engage others or may be overwhelmed by the idea of new experiences. Our social skills group will focus on building social skills through group projects, activities, and games. Teen siblings are welcomed.
